Guide to Nitrogen Pressurization Norms for Accumulators

1、 System Overview
The nitrogen pressurization accumulator system usually uses pure air as the power source to pressurize the standard bottled nitrogen to the set pressure. These systems have the characteristics of no lubrication, small size, light weight, compact structure, and reliable operation. The system is usually equipped with pneumatic switches and safety valves to ensure safety during operation.
2、 Technical requirement description
Working medium: The working medium of the system is nitrogen gas.
Pressure range: The nitrogen pressurization accumulator system is usually able to pressurize nitrogen to an adjustable range of 15-28MPa (or other set pressure).
Interface standard: NPT1/4 standard is usually used for the test gas inlet and test gas outlet, while the drive air inlet may use a quick plug with a diameter of 12PU pipe.
Requirements for driving air: The pressure of the driving air should be between 3 bar and 8 bar, and the oil content (PPM) of the air should be ≤ 3.0.
Boosting host performance: The boosting host can boost to the set maximum pressure, such as 28MPa.
Operation mode: The system usually adopts manual operation mode.
Safety: The system is equipped with a pneumatic switch and a safety valve. The pneumatic switch can set the shutdown pressure (such as 25MPa), while the safety valve will automatically open for pressure relief when the set pressure is exceeded (such as 26MPa).
3、 Operating standards
Preparation before startup:

Ensure the normal use of circulating cooling water and smooth water flow in all cooling parts.
Check if the motor, lubricating oil, instruments, etc. are ready.
Clean up the site and keep the environment clean.
Startup and operation:
Gradually start the circulating cooling water system.
Use nitrogen to replace the air in the system, ensuring an oxygen content of ≤ 20ppm.
Start the oil pump and adjust the pressure of the inlet manifold.
Gradually open the nitrogen cylinder valve and adjust the nitrogen pressure to the set value through a pressure regulating valve or pressure gauge.
Monitoring and maintenance:
Continuously monitor the pressure gauge during operation to ensure stable pressure.
Regularly check the operation status of various components of the system, such as the cooling water system, motor, oil pump, etc.
Regularly maintain the system, such as replacing lubricating oil, cleaning filters, etc.
