Inspection precautions before filling gas cylinders(3)

  1. Cylinder Neck Ring: Inspect the cylinder’s neck ring or collar for signs of damage, such as cracks or distortion. The neck ring provides structural support to the cylinder.
  2. Cylinder Date Stamp: Check the cylinder for a date stamp or marking indicating the last hydrostatic test date. Cylinders need periodic testing to ensure their integrity. Do not fill a cylinder that has exceeded its test date.
  3. Seals and Gaskets: Inspect any seals or gaskets on the valve and connections for wear or damage. Replace any worn or damaged seals to prevent gas leaks.
